BRIAN FABRICIUS
SALES DIRECTOR

We all know those salesmen that deliver a barrage of words that they know by heart about their product and who forget to ask about your needs and challenges. Brian is definitely not that kind of salesman. Sales for the sake of sales do not interest him at all. You will get to know him as a curious and present communicator who will learn everything he can about your organisation’s challenges in order to find the optimal solution in a close partnership with you.

Brian has solid business understanding when it comes to retail sales. Add to this more than 15 years of experience with sales of electronics for Sony, Sennheiser and Jabra, among others.

Brian is very invested in development and sustainability and in addition to his efforts at A Close Shave, he has a tailor’s workshop in Sierra Leone where they produce bags from repurposed bicycle tubes and colourful bow ties under the brands Bangura Bird.

In the office, Brian is a major supplier of delicious coffee and great atmosphere.

Ask Brian about:
Gadgets, stocks, Danish furniture design, port wine or heavy metal.

Do not ask Brian about:
Famous people, vegetarian food, American tv-shows, or any type of sport.

EMMA VIKTORIA FREDERIKSEN
GRAPHICS & COMMUNICATIONS CONSULTANT

EMMA VIKTORIA FREDERIKSEN
GRAPHICS & COMMUNICATIONS CONSULTANT

Emma is our graphics specialist. We don’t call her a graphic designer or art director, as she originally has a degree in English. Emma mostly taught herself everything that she can do with graphics (and that is a lot!). She throws aesthetic magical dust over all of our systems and other materials. Aside from her enviable graphics skills, Emma has solid knowledge about communication which makes her very versatile. “Emma can do anything“ is a frequently uttered phrase in the office.

In the office, Emma supplies us with incredibly strong French press coffee, knowledge about all kinds of useful and useless things and very dry, humorous comments. All of it is appreciated.

Ask Emma about:
Almost anything, postcolonialism, tv shows, Adobe CC and who said what when.

Do not ask Emma about:
Cars, sports and exercise in general.

JESPER GREEN
INTENT MARKETING SPECIALIST

JESPER GREEN
INTENT MARKETING SPECIALIST

Jesper is our go-to guy when it comes to intent marketing. He is responsible for our strategy and tactics for intelligent use of our newsletters, among other things. Jesper analyses your customers intent and behaviour and models the content that will bring you closer to a sale.

Jesper loves extreme sports, such as iron man or military pentathlon. He often sleeps in the forest with his dog and catches his own food with lines, hooks and throwing stars.

Ask Jesper about:
SEO, text and semantics, newsletters, poetry, SoMe advertising and English literature – and various survival strategies when the zombies come.

Do not ask Jesper about:
Sports, cars and help with moving or installing lamps.

MADS ØSTERGAARD
CUSTOMER SUCCESS MANAGER

If you’re one of our clients here at A Close Shave and you need a helping hand with your Academy-system, Mads is your guy. Mads has been on the other side of the platform himself when he worked with HR for our client, Dining Six.

Now Mads has joined us at A Close Shave, and with his six years of experience from the restaurant business and heaps of experience from positions ranging from dish taxi to Personnel Manager, Mads is ready to tackle whatever we – or our clients – throw his way.

Mads is, like most other people in Copenhagen, actually from Jutland (the idyllic Hjørring). He loves sports, is competitive (you could call him a sore loser, he refers to himself as a brilliant winner), and always contributes with a good mood at the office.

Ask Mads about:
Non-Motorised sports, how to make the best scrambled eggs and how to give sublime costumer service

Do not ask Mads about:
Motorised sports, actors, politics or how to find your way with Google Maps

HEAD OF CONTENT & SOCIAL MEDIA

julie@acloseshave.com
+45 27 30 37 06

JULIE HORUP
PROJECT MANAGER & SOCIAL MEDIA

Julie is our strongest ressource when it comes to social media. She is also the contact person for our Hi-Fi customers’ Academy systems. This means that she has an inexhaustible knowledge about headphones, loudspeakers and a lot of other electronics.

Before Julie became our colleague, she united her passion for gaming with her professional skills as a games journalist for newspapers and magazines. Her passion for video games is intact – Julie still takes a whole day off when a particularly good game is released.

Julie familiarises herself thoroughly with everything she works on, and completes tasks very quickly. Quantity and quality in the same package. That combination does exist, apparently.

Ask Julie about:
Grammar, social media, everything about games (and 80s horror movies) and the joy of mojitos (unless Mette Skovdal mixed them).

Do not ask Julie about:
Anger management, Danish music and if she wants to go with you to IKEA.

METTE HARBOE

METTE HARBOE

Planning campaigns, internal communication, project management, strategy, process control and text production – Mette can do all of it (and more). Her skill set is the result of a master’s degree in corporate communication and ten years of experience in both the public and private sectors.

Mette is the most talkative person in the office, and she delivers creative input constantly, professionally as well as socially. With a well-developed and quirky sense of humour, she fills every day at A Close Shave’s office with fun and inspiration – all of it delivered with a very down-to-earth Aarhus dialect.

Ask Mette about:
Podcasts, cat videos, puns, creative processes, plants, documentaries and corporate culture.

Directions, where she put her keys, other Nordic languages, video games, geography or anything powered by electricity.

STEPHAN ARNOLD THOMSEN
PUBLIC TRANSPORT REPRESENTATIVE

STEPHAN ARNOLD THOMSEN
PUBLIC TRANSPORT REPRESENTATIVE

Stephan is our Public Transport nerd. If Stephan could remake the movie The Notebook and cast a few buses, a tram or some self-driving cars instead of Ryan Gosling, he would have done so by now. This is why Stephan is also the person to contact, if you want to learn more about how to get started using Academy in the public transport sector.

If you want to hear Stephan yelling at the TV, don’t put on a football match. Let him watch ‘Ultimate Survivor’ and hear him loudly comment how he could do better than ALL the other contestants. Stephan loves nature and spends his spare time as a scout and an explorer, both by land and sea. The fact that you find Stephan at a small Italian restaurant with a glass of Brunello in his hand more often than in the grips of mother nature on a reality TV-show is just coincidence.

Ask Stephan about:
Public Transport (and prepare to listen for a while), nature, the history of war, politics, society, food and wine.

Do not ask Stephan about:
This weeks football scores.

MARTIN PARK ANDERSEN
INFORMATION SECURITY ADVISOR

MARTIN PARK ANDERSEN
INFORMATION SECURITY ADVISOR

Martin is our always helpful specialist when it comes to information security and privacy law compliance. Martin is not quite ours if we are honest. Most days, he works as an information security advisor in the public sector. However, his knowledge is rich enough that he also shares it with us as part of our Advisory Board. Martin has accumulated his experience through many years of employment in, among others, Forsvaret, as well as other public and private companies, where he has fought battles with his digital sword to protect data and enhance security.

More than 10,000 hours of Martin's life have been spent playing computer, and Martin has a strong desire to gamify his surroundings.

Do not ask Martin about:
Youtubers and other "celebrities".

Professionally, Marie is shaped by media and communication and used to work in game industry retail. In her spare time, she still spends a lot of hours in the gaming universe, where she is known as a hardcore gamer.

Marie’s interest in games benefits us when we work with new ways to integrate gaming elements in Academy in order to turn it into an even more entertaining and motivating universe. Marie has a completely systematic approach to all assignments, and no details escape her attention.

SHURI & MAGAWA
HERORATS

SHURI & MAGAWA
HERORATS

To of our most productive colleagues, we’ve never met. They live and work in Cambodia and Tanzania, and they’re HeroRats. This heroic rats sniff out land mines in dangerous areas and make the deminers aware of their locations – the rats are specially trained to sniff out explosives, and they’re light enough not to set off the mines when they move around.

Shuri helps the children of Tanzania get to school safely by sniffing out land mines in populated areas. She’s four years old and is a curious worker with tons of personality.

Magawa is the first HeroRat to step paw outside Africa. He has taken the trip all the way to Cambodia to help sniff out mines here. No less than one million bombs were thrown over Cambodia during the Vietnam War. When Magawa isn’t working you can find him munching on his favourite food: bananas and peanuts.

A Close Shave has adopted the two HeroRats from apopo.org.

Ask Shuri & Magawa about:
Where the land mines are located, how to clean your whiskers and how to outshine all your colleagues on cuteness.

Do not ask Shuri & Magawa about:
Humans, life above a meter above ground level and how to do your tax returns.
