How to turn your employees into ambassadors

Employee satisfaction, staff retention and recognition for one’s hard work are all important concepts if you want to ensure that your employees become the standard bearers of your organisation's values and messages.

But how are these concepts put into play in real life? On Academy we use, amongst other things, what we call the Ambassador programme, which has just been updated to give our clients even more options.

The Ambassador programme makes it possible for employees to become experts (or Ambassadors) for a certain supplier or in a certain field. The employee has to continuously keep up-to-date on information and training courses from the supplier or in the field and is rewarded with a badge showing that this employee is an Ambassador.

One of the most important resources in a company is the employees and it’s important not to diminish the value of having employees turned into walking encyclopaedias and advertisements for important suppliers or evolving into experts in a certain field.

Level up on employee development

On Academy it is also possible to reward Ambassadors with levels depending on how long they keep their Ambassador status. The more months an employee keeps their status, the higher level is achieved. This is not only a plus for the employee becoming more knowledgable but also gives the employee an opportunity to develop their skills, and most importantly, rewards the employee for their hard work.

The Ambassador Programme:
  • Enables your employees to become experts
  • Rewards your employees for the work done
  • Motivates your employees to improve their skills
  • Increases the retention of your employees
  • Boosts your employees and shows them that they are valued

One of the most important resources in a company is the employees and it’s important not to diminish the value of having employees turned into walking encyclopaedias and advertisements for important suppliers or evolving into experts in a certain field. To be recognised for one’s professional value and getting the chance to educate oneself in the work place are two of the most important factors for employee satisfaction. And in turn, this is of course reflected in the retention of staff, the general effort put into the work and therefore also in the success of the company.

Don’t say it, show it

If the professional recognition needs to be supported by material goods, the Ambassador programme is ready to help. It is now possible to send vouchers to employees, who have reached a certain level on an Ambassador programme. These vouchers could for example be coupon codes or tickets for the cinema.

The recognition also supports the further development and motivation of the employees as well as retention.

It is a boost showing the employees that their efforts are recognised and rewarded by the company. The recognition also supports the further development and motivation of the employees as well as retention.

With a combination of gamification, professional development and recognition, along with the opportunities for competitions and rewards, the Ambassador programme is a strong tool for employee development, retention and recognition. All this increases employee satisfaction and supports the success of your business.
